This vintage Mola is a hand-stitched Kuna textile panel worked in layered reverse appliqué, framed in a dark wood frame with a white mat. Stylized birds and fish fill the panel in red, black, and cream, outlined with fine multicolor stitching in yellow, blue, teal, and pink. Worked in the traditional Kuna (Guna) reverse-appliqué style of Panama's San Blas Islands, each mola is hand-cut and hand-sewn in layers.
