A vintage 1970's chess set comes in a brown book-style case made to stand on a shelf like a volume. CHESS is lettered up the spine between gold-toned scrollwork, and the front shows a painted scene of two men at a chessboard. A handsome boxed chess set for a game shelf, a study, or a home office.
