This is an antique Victrola "Credenza" VV-230 model phonograph, manufactured by the Victor Talking Machine Co. in Camden, New Jersey. This stately cabinet features an Italian Renaissance revival design. The top reveals the gold-plated tonearm and turntable platter, while the lower facade features four doors:the central two open to the horn grille cloth, and the outer two reveal record storage.
Originally released in late 1925, the Credenza was Victor's flagship model and utilizes a massive, internal wood horn hidden behind the cabinet doors to deliver unprecedented acoustic frequency range and volume.
