This red Asian chest is a low storage trunk finished in a deep lacquer red, with a flat lift-top and clean square corners. A rectangular gold-toned plate is set into the center of the front panel, and the case steps down to a low plinth base. The finish runs smooth and glossy on every face. This chest works as a blanket box at the foot of a bed, a coffee table with storage, or an entryway seat.
