This Mali mask is a carved African wall mask in the Bamana style, with an elongated face, a domed forehead, and a projecting mouth. The wood face is painted with orange and black spot patterns and decorated with applied metal sheeting, cowrie shells, blue beads, and red pom-poms across the brow and cheeks. This African mask works as tribal wall decor for a living room, entryway, office, or gallery wall. The hand-carved detail suits a bohemian room.
