Widely celebrated as one of the ultimate masterworks of the 20th-century modernist movement, it is even included in the permanent exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Eileen Gray originally conceived this versatile table, which effortlessly slides underneath a bed frame or sofa base, for her famous modernist avant-garde beach villa, E-1027, located in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin on the French Riviera.
